Q&A: Gift certificate module and error "discount name is empty"

i use gift certificate module in my PrestaShop, and while it generates a voucher code i see this message:

Property Discount->name is empty
at line 878 in file classes/ObjectModel.php

please follow the suggestions and fill out each available field on voucher configuration page
this will solve the problem you've got.
Error you've got means that voucher settings are not defined, or defined partially. Error says that "name" field is empty. Please fill it out (for each available language) and just save it. 

this will solve your problem with gift cards in prestashop.
