Clean URLs prestashop module: getCategoryLink was already rewrite by cleanruls module

Hello, during install got msg: Installation failled: Method getCategoryLink in class Link was already rewrite by module cleanurls.... this old module was already delete before intall your module. Thank you for your help. Patrik

How to solve problem with "installation failed"

Hello

in this case you have to:

- make sure that you removed old module

- remove all overrides this module applied to your shop

if you already removed the module "cleanruls" (as you said) and if you see this message this means that override was not removed properly. In this case it is necessary to remove it manually. 

please follow this:

- remove file: /overrides/controllers/front/categoryController.php (prepare file backup first)

- remove file: /cache/class_index.php (prepare file backup first)

- refresh front of your shop - after that your shop will rebuild class_index.php file

- go to shop back office and install pretty clean urls

- you should not see this message
