i use your seo redirect module. It has option to automatically hide out of stock products, and enable them if these products will be back to stock. I am affraid that this feature does not work, ot at least does not work correctly. Products are not hided automatically, only a small part of them are disabled while i have a lot of out of stock stuff.
Module to hide out of stock products
Module hides out of stock products in a two ways.
- First, when you try to access product page that is out of stock.
Module checks if product is in stock, if not - disable it automatically in effect customer cant open product page. - Second, automatically with cron job
On module configuration page you can find option "Out of stock products". When you will select option that "disables" out of stock products you will see information:
"Module enables and disables out of stock / in stock products when someone will try to access to product page. You can bulk enable / disable them with cron job. Details below"Add this url to your cron job table to disable and/or enable out of stock products automatically: http://XXXXXX/modules/seoredirect/cronjob.php?key=e09499a26800d6f7cfadd122d531b63c
If you will create cron job task with url from your configuration page of the module - module will hide / enable products automatically then
It looks like your shop work only with first method because you dont run a cron job task, which is required for automatic hide process.
I see that your website is hosted with "godaddy". Godaddy hosting allows to create and use cron jobs.
