Problem with appearance of modules on list of products

if you've got problems with appearance of modules like:

- product list attributes

- product list quantity discounts

- product list gallery

- product list icons 

- etc.

This article is for you.

In fact  - all of mentioned modules should automatically appear on list of products like category page etc.

Anyway, case requires configuration - depending on prestashop version you use or theme you use.

Firstly, let's focus on your prestashop version - this is the most important thing.

Module to display own contents on lists of products uses default prestashop hooks. Depending on prestashop version:

• In PrestaShop 1.7.x - module uses positions:
  • displayProductListReviews - this is default position available in PrestaShop 1.7. If your theme supports prestashop with all its features - when you will select this position during module configuration: https://i.imgur.com/Z1AekN6.png - module should appear properly on your category pages (and on other lists of products)
  • displayProductDeliveryTime - it is not default position in PrestaShop 1.7 but it it frequently used by many themes. So if you use non-default theme, it is worth to "test" this position too.
• In PrestaShop 1.6.x - module uses positions:
  • displayProductDeliveryTime - this is the only one hook that prestashop 1.6.x uses on list of products where it is possible to show this module. Module is automatically preconfigured to use this position, this is why in prestashop 1.6.x module does not offer configuration of this option.

So, if you are on prestashop 1.7.x try with default suggested position "displayProductListReviews".

Secondly,please go to:

• prestashop 1.6.x - modules > positions
  Search there for list of modules "displayProductDeliveryTime". Do you see the module on this list of modules? Like here:
  
  
• prestashop 1.7.x - design > positions
  Search there for list of modules "displayProductListReviews". Do you see the module on this list of modules? Like here:
  

If module appears on these modules lists - this means that shop and module is configured correctly. If your products have attributes (combinations) - addon should appear on lists of products properly. If it does not appear - go to next step :)

Last thing

And lastly when module still does not appear:

1. clear shop cache (you can do it under preferences > performance section) and check your page again. Do it especially if your shop uses some "caching" modules like "page cache" or "expresscache" etc.
2. if you use caching modules like i mentioned above - it will be required to open configuration page of these modules and clear cache there too
3. Many theme developers include a module / feature to their templates where you can manage the layout of the "list of products". If your theme uses this kind of feature - just review it. Usually there are options to activate / deactivate some features related to list of products like appearance of "reviews" (this activates / deactivates hook displayProductListReviews / displayProductDeliveryTime). The most popular feature like this is "apPageBuilder" where you can manage layout of list of products.
   • In PrestaShop 1.6:
     Just drag-and-drop there hook execution displayProductDeliveryTime / displayProductListReviews from right column to left (see image: https://www.leotheme.com/guides/prestashop17/ap_page_builder/assets/images/product_default.png )
     
   • In PrestaShop 1.7:
     use Tpl code tool in app page builder (right column) and add there code to execute the hook

     The code is: {hook h="displayProductListReviews" product=$product}
4. Some theme configuration tool (for example for theme from "posthemes") allows to activate / deactivate hooks "displayProductListReviews" on list of products. It will be required to activate this option

Please verify these things, usually the problem with module appearance is related to things i described.
