Cash on pickup payment module confusion - prestashop questions

 Hello Vekia! Yesterday I ordered the module 'Prestashop Cash on pickup at store (+fee)' from your company. Installation was no problemen but somehow I am missing something?! When testing the module I see and entry cash at pickup but this comes with the payments screen. Before that I already have choose the method of shipment with price and the total to pay will therefore always be the article including shipment even when you choose the pay at the store option from your module?!?! I do not see any way to implent this at the carrier level and I can not find any documention for this module on your site. I hope you can help me out with this problem!

"Cash on pickup at store (+fee)" is a payment module - it is not a shipping method.

Let's exlplain the checkout process in prestashop.
By default checkout process has 4-5 steps:

1. cart
2. address details (customer log in and decides where to deliver products)
3. carrier selection (customer decides what will be the shipping method) - this step does not appear if customer purchases "virtual products" (delivered on-line)
4. payment selection (customer decides what will be the payment method) - this step always appear it is not possible to disable it
5. order confirmation

As I mentioned - our module is a payment module so it appears in payment section, there - where the rest of payment methods appear.

What about your confusion?

Prestashop in version 1.7 allows to setup association between carriers and payment methods.
This means that you can decide what payment methods will be available for customer if some specific carrier will be selected.
You can do it under payment > preferences section: https://i.imgur.com/Qh3hCYP.png 
You can decide there about availability of payment methods depending on selected carrier (delivery method).

Thanks to this feature you can:
- create new carrier (delivery method) - ley's say with name "personal pickup": 

- then go to payment > preferences and associate "cash on pickup" module you purchased with "personal pickup" delivery method only:

Thanks to this:
- you will have delivery method "pickup at store"

- customer will have possibility to pay in your physical store and this payment method will appear only if customer will select "pickup at store" develivery method
